Performance Management System for Employees, Performance Plus

It is challenging to manage team members' goals and progress of working. And they try to find a basis and records of working when evaluating employees. We developed Performance Plus, a performance management system to solve these issues.

As a result of examining the employees' work processes and conducting a survey, there are difficulties depending on the working styles, whether it is an individual level of working or collaboration. Therefore, we tried to set our primary goals of making service to address the next four points.
Based on this perspective, we wanted to create a service with the following functions that (1) helps users to set their goals, promote users to send feedback to each other, (2) enable users to collaborate more efficiently, and (3) to support reviewing what they did.
We tried to address these problems by developing Performance Plus. Performance Plus is a service that enables (1) users to record and share their goals, degree of achievements and status of progress with their team or company. (2) Members can see what others are doing and send feedback about their works with the service. (3) All data is stored in the cloud system and accumulated information is present in visualizations. At the company's evaluation period, managers can overview user's works through the represented data.
And we made the main functions of each menu into user flows. We created the user flows of the service's essential functions and shared them with the team members for implementing the work. Further planning proceeded while conducting the development and design.

The circle graph shows the overall progress of goals and the line graph indicates the progress of the individual goals. Depending on the individual goals' progress, the user can set its status into three conditions; 'in progress,' 'delay' and 'help.'
The second column shows accumulated received badges (a symbolic image of important values to the company) of the user. It also shows feedbacks the user received recently.
The last column shows upcoming deadlines or status of user's collaborated works and users can access the working board in the collaboration menu through it.

To work in an agile way, I developed UI design and made wireframes at the same time. This is the initial design of the Performance Plus in 2017.
As inventing the company's UI system and launching more new services, I updated UI design for web and mobile according to the established UI system.

Users can view their team members' works easily. Therefore, they can quickly understand what other people are working on and can help them.
Treemap of goals
Users can view those goals in a treemap according to their hierarchies and relations. It is convenient to view which works are related.
Interaction of check-in and giving feedback
This video shows how users can check-in to their goal (record the progress of the work). The checked-in graph bars are shown as slashed lines when it is not confirmed by their manager (it is to prevent misuse and abuse of the system).

Not only sending a message, but users can also send badges to appreciate others' work.

The collaboration menu is a function that helps you to work with others. You can manage tasks by grouping them by category using the blue tab bar.

It contains the main information about the collaboration. Users can create checklists, share files, and leave comments on work processes with others. Users can connect each collaboration board to the team or personal goals.
Review, data visualization of feedbacks and goals
The review page is for the evaluation of members in a period. Reviewers can overview members' performance and activities by visualization based on their accumulated data of Goal, Feedback, Collaboration menu. Each of the members can also evaluate themselves by reviewing the visualization and comments from the reviewer.
The status in the main review page, (1) performance (2) promotion potential (3) risk of turnover (4) competence of the member are the only exposure to the reviewer. The right window shows feedbacks and comments the subject received. Reviewers and users can answer the questions and write reviews by referencing the visualization.
